How do I get to Bank Sync and how do I set it up?
The first step is to book the Bank Sync via our booking page. A participation agreement is then required which enables Wikando to read the transactions from your account. You will receive this by email and then send it to your bank. After the bank has granted access, we complete the setup.
Are there any special conditions to be met? Is that possible with every bank?
In principle, Bank Sync is possible with any bank that can offer electronic account turnover data in the CAMT53 or MT940 format. This is very common in the DATEV area for tax offices and rarely poses a problem.
Do I need my own bank program for Bank Sync?
No, the FundraisingBox is linked directly to your account, no additional software is required.
How long does it take for Bank Sync to be active?
Unfortunately, that depends on your bank and varies greatly from case to case.
Do you need technical knowledge to use Bank Sync?
No, everything can be operated via the user-friendly interface of the FundraisingBox.
Are chargebacks also synchronized with Bank Sync?
With Bank Sync we only read out the account inputs. However, chargebacks are processed automatically if automatic payment methods such as Wikando direct debit, Stripe or Paypal are used.
Can incoming accounts that are not donations be excluded from the automatic comparison (e.g. interest income)?
Yes, certain inputs can be excluded using the “ignore transaction” functionality. Certain IBANs can also be excluded.
